The Square announces community event line-up kick-starting 2023

New monthly themes bring experiences focused on Growth, Love and Outdoors and include panel discussions, Galentine’s Day events, Black History Month kickoff celebration and more.

Related Companies’ The Square in West Palm Beach is kicking off 2023 with a lively line-up of experiences, community panels, performances, festivals and interactive workshops. The themes for the first three months of the year are Growth, Love and Outdoors, and each month’s roster of events are centered around offering new experiences for the community under these pillars.

Dedicating the month of January to growth, visitors can take part in a thoughtful Wellness Hour and in-depth panel on the past, present and future of what makes West Palm Beach special with Henry Flagler’s vision. February focuses on love with Galentine’s Day festivities, an engaging wine and culinary experience, an immersive festival to kick off Black History Month and two panel discussions. March events will focus on enjoying the downtown outdoor oasis with a Holi festival, captivating performances and the return of the celebrated District Fit fitness festival.

In addition to special events, The Square will continue its ongoing series including its Sunday Market, Wellness Hour, Paint & Sip, Stroller Strides, Daytime Playtime, Run Club, Live Music and more.

January – Growth 
Panel: Realizing Flagler’s Vision for West Palm Beach
January 28 from 10:30-11:30AM
In partnership with the Flagler Museum, The Square will host an in-depth discussion between Flagler Museum Director, John M. Blades, and attorney and historian Harvey Oyer about the founding of West Palm Beach, the history of the city, and the recent growth of the downtown. Register in advance on Eventbrite.

February – Love
Black History Month Kickoff
February 4th from 8:30AM-3PM
Presenting the 2nd Annual Black History Month Kickoff, "See What I Can Be" will be a collaboration between The Square, Rohi’s Readery and The Office of African and African American Studies. This family-friendly community event spread across the district will feature a SoulCycle ‘origins of hip-hop’ themed ride at 8:30am, yoga class, live musical performances, kids cooking and gardening station, local artisan market, student panel, family and educator workshops, children’s author readings, dance and music class and more. Galentine’s Weekend Paint & Sip
February 11 from 3-5PM
Celebrate the love of friends while creating a masterpiece and sipping together. Supplies and one drink per guest are complimentary with ticket purchases on Eventbrite. A portion of the proceeds benefit American Heart Association in honor of Heart Month.

Galley Galentine's Day Cocktail Experience
February 13 at 5:00 and 7:00PM
Grab a best friend for a fun night out and create cocktails in an interactive class taught by Galley’s celebrated lead mixologist Hauk Cornell. Each guest will learn the history and variations of three signature Valentine's Day inspired cocktails, welcome glass of bubbly, and 20% discount to dinner reservation. Pre-registration is required and tickets are $40 per person.

SoulCycle Galentine’s Day Class
February 13 at 5:30PM
Sweat it out with your soul bestie at a Galentine’s Day themed ride. The signature 45-minute full body cycling working will leave guests feeling the love and the burn with Galentine’s themed music and a balloon arch photo op. Reserve a bike directly through SoulCycle. 

Galley Wine Dinner
February 22 and taking place every last Wednesday of the month 
Wine enthusiasts can enjoy a five-course pairing menu at the newly debuted monthly Wine Series featuring wines from the Huneeus Vitners such as Faust, Flowers and Quintessa. An interactive, outdoor experience, the chef will prepare carefully-curated dishes while wine experts introduce each wine. Reservations are available on OpenTable.  

Panel Discussion: Kips Bay 
February 22nd from 9-10AM
The Kips Bay Showhouse is back in Palm Beach this Spring, and previous Showhouse designers will be at The Square talking about this historic and impactful event with a panel discussion on the lawn on Wednesday, February 22 at 9am. Designers Jim Dove and Meg Braff will join moderator and Kips Bay Director of Special Events, Nazira Handal. The event is complimentary to attend; VIP tickets available for $20 and support the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club. RSVP through Eventbrite.

Panel Discussion: Kravis & Maltz Jupiter Theatre
February 25th from 10-11AM
In partnership with Kravis & Maltz Jupiter Theater, The Square will host a Discussion with Diane Quinn, CEO, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, and Andrew Kato, Producing Artistic Director/Chief Executive, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre with moderator Rena Blades, President, Delos Consulting and Arts Advisor to Related.

March – Outdoors

Young People’s Choir Performance 
March 3rd 
The Young People’s Chorus (YPC) of New York City is popping up in The Square for a special one-night performance. YPC is internationally renowned multicultural youth chorus that provides children of all cultural and economic backgrounds with a unique program of music education and choral performance. This event and free and open to the public. No registration required. 

Holi
March 4th 
In collaboration with Rohi’s Readery, The Square will be celebrating Holi, The Festival of Colors Celebration. Celebrate the coming of Spring, the joy of friendship, triumph of good over evil, and equality for all with music, dance, food, story time and classes for kids and adults. All are welcome to share in the power of human connection and community. More information will be available on Eventbrite soon.

Women’s Day Panel with Junior League of the Palm beaches
March 8th
In honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, The Square is partnering with JLPB for the 3rd edition of the International Women’s Day Panel. Join us for an empowering discussion on the lawn with local female leaders. Free to attend and $20 VIP tickets will support Junior League, available on Eventbrite soon.

District Fit
March 11th
The Square will bring back the beloved large-scale wellness festival focused on mindful practices, physical fitness, and a health-conscious lifestyle in downtown West Palm Beach with yoga, SoulCycle, wellness class and more. The festival will benefit a local charity. More information to come.

Paint & Sip
March 12th from 3-5PM
Led by local artist Laura Serna, attendees can enjoy a leisurely afternoon creating a masterpiece and drinking beverages with friends at Paint & Sip. Supplies and one drink per guest are complimentary with ticket purchase on Eventbrite.

Keeping the community feeling their best year-round, the below events will happen on a recurring basis:

  • Run Club: Monthly 2-mile run led by lululemon ambassador Alex Celis including pre-run stretching and cool down, ending at The Salty for a cool down and sweet treat; first Saturday of every month at 9:30AM (RSVP required via Eventbrite)
  • Yoga with Jade Wonzo: Weekly, all-levels yoga class supporting Rohi’s Readery; every Wednesday at 6:30PM (Donation-based; RSVP required via Eventbrite)
  • Workout with 1 Fitness: Weekly HIIT-style class for all levels; every Sunday at 9AM (Donation-based; RSVP required via Eventbrite)
  • The Wellness Hour with Linda Andrews: A one-hour integrative wellness workshop to experience healing, being & creating guided by Linda Andrews, Founder & CEO of Lila Life; January 1, February 5, March 12, and April 2 from 10-11AM (Donation-based; RSVP required via Eventbrite)
  • Stroller Strides: Weekly total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with kids in tow; Every Wednesday from 9-10AM (Registration required via palmbeach.fit4mom.com)

  • Sunday Market: Open to the public every Sunday along Rosemary Avenue, this weekly seasonal fresh market offers a variety of specialty food and artisan pop-up vendors like Dolce en Boca, ASKA Mediterranean Sweets, Slice of Europe, Il Mercato, Tea & Spice & Everything Nice and more; Every Sunday from 10am-6:30pm.
  • Weekly Daytime Playtime: Free and open to the public each week, experience water tables, extra shade, games, and more; best for those 5 and under to play and engage with the outdoors in a tropical oasis setting. Every Wednesday-Friday from 11AM-1PM.
  • Zen Hippo Music Together: Get in touch with your inner musician and connect with other families at this engaging music and movement program on The Square lawn; First Wednesday of the month. Registration required via ZenHippo
  • Zen Hippo Talking with Tata: Enhance your child’s communication skills through music, movement, and sensory play with pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP), Miss Leslie on The Square lawn; Every Thursday from 10-10:45AM. Registration via ZenHippo.
