Peak season commences with The Square's fall programming

West Palm Beach’s most visited neighborhood's fall calendar of events and festivals features celebrations of crafts, harvest, flavors and arts.

Whether it’s the allure of eateries, shops or events that attract visitors to Downtown West Palm Beach, a fresh lineup of programming at The Square ushers in fall with something for the creative, explorer, intellect and humanitarian within all.

Staying true to The Square’s steadfast commitment to uplifting the community through philanthropic efforts deeply rooted in the community, the intentionally curated seasonal schedule of events allows guest to enjoy themselves while also supporting causes close to the heart including Promise Fund of Florida, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, United Way of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Food Bank, Miami Diaper Bank and more.

Festivals, Pop-Ups and Panels:

  • Hunger Action Day: The Wishing Tree at The Square is going orange in honor of Hunger Action Month during an interactive pop-up event hosted in partnership with United Way of Palm Beach County. Joining advocates from across the country to bring awareness to food insecurity, a struggle faced by millions of Americans, enjoy educational games and prizes, nutritious food-prep demonstrations by Trindy Gourmet and an opportunity to donate non-perishable items to the Palm Beach County Food Bank’s mobile pantry on-site that will go directly to local families in need. September 22 from 5-7pm
  • RAINBOWpalooza by Rhythm & Hues: The 4th annual RAINBOWpalooza Festival of Kindness by local children arts and music center Rhythm & Hues will transform The Square into a vibrant wonderland featuring live music, enchanting performances, art projects, interactive games and more for all ages. Parents can find bliss at the VIP “I Need a Minute” Lounge with complimentary beverages, music, and special enhancements. Entry to RAINBOWpalooza is free and open to the public; however, to participate in the festival activities, all-access passes may be purchased through Eventbrite, with a suggested minimum donation of $20 per family. Tickets are $100 for all day access to the VIP “I Need a Minute” Lounge for parents. All proceeds from the event support Nicklaus Children's Hospital. September 30 from 11am-7pm
  • Pooch Parade and Day Pawty: Bark your calendars and get ready to break out the pup costumes during the Pooch Parade and Day Pawty hosted in partnership with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. The lively kick-off to Halloween season, emceed by T.A. Walker from WPTV, includes a contest costume judge panel, DJ entertainment, as well as pet brand pop-ups and giveaways. The event is free and open to the public. October 1 from 9:30-11am
  • Fall Festival with ZenHippo: Join ZenHippo for a hands-on celebration of the season with activities including fall-themed sensory play and crafts, interactive story time and Tracie’s Music Together. Donations of diapers, formula and baby food and a percentage of ticket sales will benefit Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County. October 7 from 10-11:30am
  • Pumpkin Patch: The Square’s inviting pumpkin patch is sprouting on the lawn where the bright gourds will be available to pick starting October 13 alongside family-friendly activities and events. Promise Fund of Florida will pop up October 14, 22 and 28, offering a selection of 100 specially-painted pink pumpkins that will be offered donation-based in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. On October 21, patch-goers are invited to curate scents reminiscent of the season with local artisan, Lighthouse Candle & Scent Bar, during an immersive pumpkin spice candle making class. On October 15, 22 and 29, 1 Fitness will host a high energy Pumpkin Pump HIIT class, culminating with a festive costume contest on the last Sunday of the month. Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday from October 13-29 (Fri: 5-9pm and Sat & Sun: 10am-9pm)
  • Trick or Treat: Longtime seasonal traditions come to life in downtown West Palm Beach’s favorite neighborhood, as families are invited to enjoy a quintessential fall celebration featuring trick or treating around The Square for the youngest guests, live music, games and the pumpkin patch on the lawn. Partnering with Red Sneakers for Oakley, the local organization dedicated to educating and advocating for food allergy awareness will pop up along the festivities and guide inclusive offerings for the holiday, including allergen-safe treats for all children to enjoy marked by teal pumpkins at each participating storefront, amplifying the efforts of the Teal Pumpkin Project. October 28 from 4-6pm

Culinary:

The collaboration between local, independent and nationally-acclaimed restaurants creates a unique culinary ecosystem that has transformed downtown West Palm. The food purveyors in the region are the essential ingredient in The Square’s celebrated dining scene.

  • Flavor of Palm Beach: Flavor Palm Beach is a month-long dining event spotlighting the vast array of restaurants throughout Palm Beach County. Diners will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of specially-priced three-course meals from some of the area’s best restaurants located at The Square including Felice (Lunch and Dinner menu), Galley (Dinner menu), Planta (Lunch and Dinner menu) and Ruth's Chris (Dinner menu). Lunch is priced at $20-30 per person and dinner is priced $35-65 per person. September 1-30
  • Taste of the Square: On the heels of last year's successful inaugural event, Taste of the Square returns as the neighborhood transforms into a gastronomic celebration offering ticket holders bites from nearly 20 restaurants, including a special VIP experience. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the event supports the Promise Fund of Florida, a non-profit that aims to prevent the unnecessary progression of breast and cervical cancer, with a donation of 100 percent of the net proceeds. The palate-pleasing evening event will showcase the talents of The Square’s celebrated chefs preparing appetizers, entrees and dessert samplings. In addition, event goers will enjoy live music, pop up bar, a pink pumpkin painting experience and interactive installation provided by Discover The Palm Beaches offering photo-worthy moments and more. Hive Collective is a sponsor of this year’s event. October 12 from 6-8:30pm (5:30-6pm VIP early access only)

Inspiring Through Arts & Culture:

At The Square, visitors can unleash their own creativity while interacting with international and local artists through large-scale installations, classes, pop-up galleries and more.

  • Norton Open Studio: Norton Open Studio at The Square is a bi-monthly class taught by a local artist curated by the Norton Museum of Art. Each event has a different instructor, activity and theme. October 19 from 5-8pm
  • Armory Art Center Workshop Series: Budding artists of all levels are invited to tap into their creative side during Armory Art Center’s monthly workshops at The Square. November 19 from 1-4pm
  • Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival: Stroll along Rosemary Avenue to discover life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewels, photography, ceramics and more. During this family and pet-friendly event, meet the local and national artists behind the works and learn about the inspiration and process for each hand-made piece. November 18 and 19 from 10am-5pm

Cultural Celebrations:

The Square kicks off festive season with events honoring and educating the community about traditions from around the world.

  • Rosh Hashanah with Downtown Jewish WPB: Join Downtown Jewish WPB for a meaningful High Holiday experience combining traditional melodies and Shofar blowing. The sounding of the Shofar is the central observance of Rosh Hashanah and contains many profound messages for personal reflection and introspection. Delight in the age-old Jewish tradition of eating apples dipped in honey to express hope for a sweet new year. September 17 from 4-4:30pm
  • Sukkot: Downtown Jewish WPB will bring the joy of Sukkot, the mitzvah of Lulav and Etrog to The Square. Visit their sukkah along Rosemary Avenue to celebrate through traditional song, dance, prayer and enlightening lessons. October 6 from 12-4pm
  • Diwali Celebration: Watch as The Square illuminates in celebration of Diwali, "The Festival of Lights," hosted in partnership with Rohi’s Readery. Honor and learn about the traditions of the holiday through cultural entertainment programming including live music, dance performances, garland and Rangolis making and more. November 4 from 2-7pm

Health & Wellness:

Sweat it out this fall courtesy of local fitness enthusiasts and motivators.

  • Full Moon Yoga: Shelly Saunier will host a rooftop yin yoga class celebrating the new beginnings brought by a full moon. Open to all levels and hosted on the Hibiscus Garage rooftop. September 28 from 8-9pm
  • Yoga: Join instructor Jade Wonzo each week on the lawn for an hour long, all levels flow supporting Rohi’s Readery. With six years of experience and hundreds of hours of teaching and training, Jade teaches all over Palm Beach County with a strong belief that all bodies are “yoga bodies.” Her classes are created for all to enjoy, no matter size, color, ability or skill level. Every Wednesday from 7-8pm
  • Sculpt and Sweat with 1 Fitness: 1 Fitness instructors lead a 45-minute barre and Pilates-inspired class on the lawn open to all levels. Every Saturday from 9-9:45am
  • HIIT workout with 1 Fitness: Join 1 Fitness instructors for 45 minutes of high intensity functional movements using various resistance training techniques combined with cardio intervals to improve strength, help build lean muscle and maximize calorie burn. These classes are perfect for all levels. Every Sunday from 9-9:45am
  • Run Club: Break a sweat with fellow runners in the community during this run club led by lululemon ambassador Alex Celis. Meet in front of lululemon to mingle, stretch and warm up before setting off on a 2-mile loop around Downtown West Palm Beach, ending back at The Salty for a cool down and sweet treat. First Saturday of each month at 8:45am
