The Square West Palm Beach announces ALL-idays, where the spirit of tradition meets unforgettable celebrations

The festive season will shine bright with global cultural celebrations, song and dance, thought-provoking panel discussions, artisanal pursuits, photo opportunities and much more.

The vibrancy of Downtown West Palm Beach's 2023 holiday season comes to life with the introduction of ALL-idays at The Square starting Saturday, November 11, 2023. The festive tapestry of events that run until December 31 will honor global traditions and celebrations through key pillars such as philanthropy, education, diversity, inclusivity and disability positivity.

From the beloved nightly snowfalls and captivating holiday Wishing Tree lightshow, to powerful cultural performances by local organizations of national acclaim, and a fashion showcase highlighting the talents of adults with disabilities, locals and visitors are set for a season of memorable moments anchored in The Square’s mission of fostering an authentic spirit of community.

Kick Off Celebration plus Global and Community Delights: A myriad of events will invite locals and visitors to immerse in the beauty of global traditions offering a blend of culture, education, and entertainment, with many celebrations in partnership with Rohi’s Readery, The Square’s award-winning social justice driven children's bookstore and learning center.

  • Holiday Kick Off: Usher in ALL-idays at The Square, beginning with the annual holiday kick-off event on Saturday, November 11, 2023, starting at 6pm, historically attracting around 10,000 visitors during one of the most anticipated events of the year with the first snowfall promptly at 6:30pm. This year, a spectacular line up of performances pay homage to the season’s theme. Emceed by Wayne Perry, also known as Mister Trombone, the event highlights include a countdown to the premier snowfall and lighting of The Wishing Tree, cultural holiday performances by Afrique Ngozi Dance and Drum, Inc. and the Natural Movers Foundation, plus artisan market pop-ups, visits with Santa, and more.
  • Reoccurring Events: Discover a full schedule of recurring and one-time-only festivities throughout the season including:
    • Nightly Snowfall and light show at The Square: Take in the real magic of the holiday season with snowfall each evening beginning November 11 through December 31 at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
    • Santa meet-and-greet at The Workshop: Step inside The Workshop, a festive wonderland where Santa will reside on weekends for photos to last a lifetime. November 11 – December 31; Friday & Saturday 6-8pm, Sunday 5-7pm; Special Dates Include November 24 with extended hours from 4 – 8pm & December 23 and 24 with extended hours from 5- 8pm.
  • Diwali “Festival of Lights”: Watch as The Square illuminates in celebration of Diwali "The Festival Of Lights" hosted by Rohi’s Readery. Honor and learn about the beautiful traditions of the Indian holiday through cultural entertainment programming including live music, dance performances, garland and Rangolis making, and more. Free and open to the public at The Square. November 4 from 2-7pm
  • Salvation Army Angel Tree: ‘Tis the season of giving! Join in longstanding traditions at The Square and make the holiday season brighter for a local family by adopting a Salvation Army Angel. Visit The Greet House and pick an angel containing the wish list of a child to bless with toys and clothes. Starting on November 11
  • Make Learning Magic with Rohi’s Readery - Indigenous Heritage Month: Children ages 4-36 months are invited to celebrate the legacy of Indigenous people during two interactive STEAM learning sessions. November 5 from 9am-12pm
  • Whole Vibes Music Class: Children of all ages are invited to discover about Indigenous Heritage Month through the sounds of drums and flutes. Free and open to the public at Rohi’s Readery. November 15 from 10-11am
  • TGIFamily Storytime & Entertainment with Rohi’s Readery – Celebrating Indigenous People: Join an enlightening evening on the lawn for a family-centered activity themed "We Are Grateful," featuring an inclusive literacy learning lesson by Pranati (Pranoo) Kumar Skomra, award-winning educator and founder of Rohi’s Readery. Free and open to the public. November 17 from 5-6pm
  • Pet Day with Santa: In collaboration with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Santa Pet Day is the paw-fect opportunity to let pets revel in holiday glee with Santa. Free and open to the public at The Workshop. December 1 from 6-8pm
  • Culture & Conversations Panel Series: A Christmas Carol: Guests are invited to dive into the rich legacy, profound messages, and timeless resonance of A Christmas Carol during a behind-the-scenes discussion about writing the book and producing the play with Les Standiford, the author of The Man Who Invented Christmas, and Andrew Kato, the Maltz Jupiter Theater Producing Artistic Director and Chief Executive. The panel will be moderated by John Blades, Executive Director of the Flagler Museum. RSVP available on Eventbrite; free with VIP option and located on the lawn. December 2 from 10-11am
  • Ferrari Car Show at The Square: Fast and shiny cars arrive just in time for the holiday season, and enthusiasts of the iconic Ferrari brand are rejoicing. Visitors to The Square are invited to enjoy a showcase of bespoke cars featuring the best in innovative design and performance displayed along Rosemary Avenue. December 3 from 11am-2pm
  • Path to College Speed Interview Night: Path to College is giving the gift of expert preparation to participants of their fellowship program at Speed Interview night. Volunteers are welcome to participate as mock interviewers and help prepare a local student for a real-life interview. Advance registration required. December 8 from 5-7pm
  • Make Learning Magic with Rohi’s Readery – Holidays Around the World: Partake in festive traditions and learn how holidays are celebrated across the globe during this early childhood STEAM discovery experience for children ages 4 – 36 months. Participation is free and class is located at Rohi’s Readery. December 10 from 9am-12pm
  • Early Childhood Holidays Dance Class with Rohi’s Readery: Celebrate the diversity of seasons with Ayanna Melvin, Founder of All About Dance featured on NBC, during this Baby Wearing and Early Childhood Dance Class. Registration is free; a suggested donation of $10 that will benefit Sincere 2000, a non-profit bringing awareness to the world about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, and their annual holiday book drive. December 13 at 10am
  • Project Flourish Cooking and Culture Series with Rohi’s Readery – Seasons Greetings from the Caribbean: Welcome a joyous holiday season with a taste of the islands. During this Cooking and Culture class, attendees will create Besitos de Coco, a sweet treat enjoyed across all Caribbean cultures. Participation is free and class is located at Rohi’s Readery. December 16 from 2-3pm
  • TGIFamily Storytime & Entertainment with Rohi’s Readery - New Year’s Around the World: Gather with the family and discover the unique New Year’s traditions observed across the globe. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 22 from 5-6pm
  • Kwanzaa Dance & Drums Performance: Afrique Ngozi Dance & Drum, Inc is bringing an immersive cultural celebration of Kwanzaa to The Square. This family-friendly performance will explore the seven principles that make up Kwanzaa and feature live West African dancing and drumming. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 29 from 5-5:30pm
  • Community Connections with Jazmin Kylene (Adults Class) with Rohi’s Readery: Ring in the new year growing in love and community, with Jazmin Kylene, journalist and board-certified spiritual counselor. Attendees will listen and learn as Jazmin interviews and co-constructs with a local community leader, followed by an introspective exercise for all. December 29 from 6-8pm

Artistry & Craftsmanship: The Square amplifies the works of the creative community this holiday season with a robust line up of art-driven experiences from eclectic festivals and engaging in hands-on workshops to a fashion showcase benefitting adults with disabilities.

  • Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival: Stroll Rosemary Avenue to discover life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewels, photography, ceramics and more. Meet 70+ local and national artists and learn about the inspiration behind each hand-made piece. The Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival is family-friendly and pets on leashes are always welcome. Free and open to the public. November 18 and 19 from 10am-5pm
  • Holiday Scent Candle Making Class: Guided by an expert scentologist from Lighthouse Candle and Scent Bar, dive deep into the art of crafting a custom candle and the perfect seasonal scent reminiscent of holiday cheer. Class begins at $45. November 18 from 5-6pm
  • New Wave Art Wknd Open Studio, Panel Discussion & Performance: Join New Wave Art Wknd for an enlightening afternoon featuring an Open Studio showcasing works produced by New Wave’s artist-in-residence program participants and an engaging panel discussion on the lawn led by local luminaries working towards enlivening and empowering our communities through art. The event will culminate with a lively performance by the Palm Beach Lakes Community High School marching band that will parade down Rosemary Avenue towards Heart & Soul Park where the unveiling of Genius Loci by mixed media artist, Nekisha Durett, will be held with a commemoration led by Mayor Keith James. December 1 from 3-5:30pm
  • Dreyfoos Student Artist Market: Celebrate the talented works by Visual Arts and Digital Media students of A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts with a festival along Rosemary Avenue. Listen to live music, Dreyfoos student performances and shop for artwork of all mediums including accessories, jewelry, and other unique handmade creations. Free and open to the public. December 2 from 11am-5pm
  • Paint & Sip, Caribbean Holiday Edition: Create a masterpiece inspired by holidays in the Caribbean and sip festive beverages with friends during this monthly paint and sip class. Supplies and one drink per guest are complimentary with ticket purchase; located on the ground level near the lawn. December 9 from 3-5pm
  • Armory Art Center Workshops: Budding artists of all levels are invited to get inspired by the season with Armory Art Center at The Square on the third Sunday every month. November’s featured activity will center on the season’s bounty by painting gourds led by instructor Jen Hemstreet. In December, attendees will join Ali Saunders, Armory’s artist-in-residence for a ceramic ornament decorating class. Free and open to the public. November 19 and December 10 from 1-4pm
  • Fashion Fest with aZul: Marrying fashion with purpose, join as local designers as they showcase their Winter 2023 Collection during aZul Fashion Fest. aZul - Fashion, Art & Design is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering alternative art-focused programs for adults with disabilities such as down syndrome, autism, and other disabilities, as well as caregivers and families. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 13 from 6-8pm
  • Norton Open Studio: The Square’s bi-monthly class taught by a local artist curated by the Norton Museum of Art features a different activity and theme each event. This December, join Lupe Lawrence for hands-on printmaking project using a Styrofoam plate, brayer, water soluble ink, and printmaking paper. Free and open to the public. Children should have a parent or adult guardian to work with and should not be unattended. December 14 from 5-8pm
  • Holiday Crafting with Your Inner Child with Artist Emmy Kenny at Rohi’s Readery: Spark joy, love and creativity through personalized creations during this holiday gift making class led by local artist Emmy Kenny. December 23 from 4-6pm

Gather & Groove: Dive into a symphony of sound and motion this December as The Square showcases regional talents and various heritages.

  • Dreyfoos Student Live Music Performance: Take in melodies performed by the talented musicians of A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts while shopping for gifts during the Dreyfoos Artist Market along Rosemary Avenue. Free and open to the public. December 2 from 12-5pm
  • ZenHippo Winter Wonderland: Engage the little ones in story time, sensory play, and musical celebrations designed for a magical experience. Purchase tickets at Eventbrite. December 9 from 10-11:30am
  • Chanukah with Palm Beach Synagogue: Downtown Jewish and Palm Beach Synagogue enliven The Square with a vibrant display of Chanukah traditions including a menorah lighting and special treats. Free and open to the public. December 11 from 5-7pm
  • The King’s Academy Holiday Jazz Ensemble: Enjoy an evening concert under the stars filled with beloved Christmas and holiday classics during a performance by The King’s Academy Jazz Ensemble while Christ Fellowship Church serves hot cocoa and treats. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 16 from 6:30-9pm
  • Christmas Day Live Music: Revel in the spirit of Christmas with live music performances. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 25 from 6-10pm
  • New Year’s Eve Live Music: The community is invited to close out the year with loved ones, surrounded by the sights and sounds of their favorite place with live music planned throughout the day. For those making it a full evening affair, follow dinner at one of The Square restaurants by dancing into 2024 to exuberant performances by Wonderama Band. Free and open to the public on the lawn. December 31 from 9:30pm-12:30am
